In case you've been living under a rock, and don't know, here's what's going on.
Target is allowing people who identify as the other gender to use the other bathroom
There are several problems with this.
Firstly, DNA is what determines your gender.
Not your feelings.
Since feelings don't determine gender, feeling like a girl doesn't magically turn a guy into a girl. It would be like me saying I self identify as a kitten. It doesn't magically make me a kitten. It just means I'm a mentally ill person who honestly believes I'm a kitten.
Guys who think they're girls and vice-Versa aren't magically the opposite gender because of feelings. They're mentally ill, and telling them to embrace their mental Illness isn't very loving. The loving thing to do would be getting them some help.
However, trans-genders aren't the true problem with the rule.. That's just some smoke screen
Here are my responses to two of the most commonly used arguments I've seen that people use to justify the actions of Target
First argument
"We've been unknowingly using the bathroom with them for years. Why is this suddenly a huge deal?"
Indeed. I ask a similar question
Why did it suddenly become a huge deal? After all.. If this has been going on for years, why does there suddenly need to be a rule?
The law opens the doorway to predators pretending to be trans-gender.
The true trans-gendered folks aren't even the issue here. Fact is, now any guy can walk into a girl's bathroom for any reason without even being questioned. That's messed up. This will increase how many predators head into the girl's bathroom.. Not only that, but it already has...

Next argument:
"Why should the minority be oppressed because it makes you uncomfortable?"
Uh.. No one was stopping them from using our bathroom before. The previous argument I addressed is hinged on that. This argument actually undermines the previous
Was it, or was it not actually this way for years? How were they being "oppressed" to begin with?
Just wondering
Counter:
Why should there be a law that puts me and many other women and children at risk in order to appease a minority that was already doing what it wanted to do anyway and only makes up 0.3% of the population?
These are just my thoughts. If this offends you, fine. It can.
If you think this makes me a hate-filled bigot you are entitled to that opinion.
