Recently I got the game Fire Emblem Fates Birthright.
I fell in love with Azura's song right away. The character Azura has a lovely singing voice, and the song itself is quite moving, but that got me thinking.
What would the song be like if it had God honoring lyrics?
I set out to find out the answer to that question by writing some lyrics of my own
Note: this is not meant to bring harm for the original song. I love the original version. This is just for fun
I only re-wrote a single verse, but here are the lyrics I came up with, to be sung to the tune of Azura's song, Lost in Thoughts all Alone.
You are the one who chose to, reach down to us, and say that, we could be saved from sin.
As we look up, at the cross, we are grateful, you chose to pay the price
Emmanuel, God is with us
He shows us that he's the only way, we can be saved from the sin that we commit
Sing with me a song, about the Christ child, whom we know, was born so long ago.
We know for sure, that he came, so we could be, washed as white, as the snow
What are your thoughts on my lyrics? Did you like them? Did you dislike them? Should I continue re-writing the song?
