Ok, the problem with Christians today is that we, as Christians don't pray enough.
Why is this?
According to the Bible we are to pray before everything we do!
What turns us off to asking God for things?
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (KJV)
16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Philippians 4:6 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Satirical posts are all well and good. My previous blog post was satirical after all, but now is the time to pray.
Imagine how many people would come to Christ if we all prayed up a storm!
Prayer is a powerful thing. It causes demons to shake in their boots. Prayer and faith can move mountains! Without faith it is impossible to please God
Hebrews 11:6(KJV)
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Matthew 21:18-22 (KJV)
18 Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.
19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Rise up, Prayer Warriors! The more people praying about the exact same thing, the better!
Matthew 18:19-20(KJV)
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
All things are possible with God. The more we pray, the more we can turn around situations. If two people can change things through prayer, imagine the impact of many people praying!
We can do all things through Christ, not our own power. The Bible says "I can do all things through Christ" not "I can sorta do something through Christ"
Philippians 4:13 (KJV)
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
So rise up, Prayer Warriors! Pray without ceasing! Shine God's light no matter what!
